Shave Ice is a local staple. It is finely shaved ice (usually from one solid block of ice), and then it is covered with a syrup of some sort. These days, you can add many things to your shave ice. For example, you can have a layer of ice cream on the bottom, and you can top your shave ice with things such as mochi balls, li hing, toasted coconut shavings, and even condensed milk!
